The Active Fluid System is tested for the first time in the harsh
conditions of Malaysia by the wrecking crew at
www.FakawiTribe.com. The Fakawis
(as they call themselves)
deal with heavy rainfall and lots of mud throughout most of the year which
causes their drivetrains to be rather problematic. Interestingly, they have not
reported one instance of chain suck since installing the Active Fluid
System on their Specialized test bike. A full, comprehensive
test report can be viewed at the Fakawi Tribe website.

Cartecay Bike Shop owner, Atlanta firefighter, and all around nice guy
Mike Palmeri takes the Gold in the cross country mountain bike event at
the 2006 Georgia Police & Fire Games held in Gainesville, Georgia.
Mike raced his Scottoiler equipped Specialized to a first place finish
among
a field of 40 firefighters and law enforcement officers from all over the
state of Georgia. In Mike's own words: "The [Scottoiler] system worked
excellent. I was impressed with how easy it is to lube the chain during a
race!" Congrats Mike!

Scottoiler rider John Moorhouse finishes in
7th place in the Men's Solo category aboard a Scottoiler equipped Ellsworth bike at the
2006 BURN 24
Hour Challenge, despite losing over 5 hours to stomach distress &
nausea. John's race was going very smoothly for the first 15 hours until
he began experiencing stomach problems, which eventually forced him to sit
out of the race at around 3am to let things settle. John jumped back into the race at
around 7am on the second day to complete approximately 6 more laps for a total of
22 laps (nearly 150 miles), and 7th place. Stomach issues aside, his bike performed like new
and trouble free for the entire race even though the bike's drivetrain has
well over 7,000 miles of use.
The following photos of the drivetrain on
John's bike were taken right after the race and show how relatively clean his drivetrain remained throughout
the event in comparison to the rest of the bike, thanks to the
Active Fluid System
